About This Piece
The Dragon Skirt is a floor-length fantasy statement piece in a rich dragon-motif jacquard. This is not a costume piece in the convention sense — it's a wearable fantasy garment designed to be worn at Renaissance Faires, themed events, conventions, photoshoots, or any occasion where the wearer wants to look extraordinary. The silhouette is deliberately versatile: the flowing A-line falls gracefully at rest and moves dramatically during walking, with enough body to hold its shape without a petticoat (though one can be added for additional volume).
The dragon jacquard fabric is sourced from specialty suppliers and selected for its specific combination of colour saturation, pattern scale, and fabric weight. The current version features the deep jewel-tone dragon motif visible in the product photograph; fabric availability may vary and current options are confirmed at time of order.
Construction
The skirt is fully lined in a coordinating silk-blend lining fabric for comfort against the skin and for the correct hang. The waistband is a fully boned, faced waistband (not elasticated) for a clean silhouette and a professional finish. A concealed side-seam zip closes the skirt. The hem is hand-finished with a weighted hem allowance to ensure the correct hang and prevent the hem from catching during movement.

Styling Notes
This skirt pairs with almost anything that doesn't compete for attention: simple fitted tops, structured bodices, corsets (see Heidi's corset commission page), and linen or cotton blouses. At a Renaissance Faire, it pairs naturally with a period-appropriate chemise and fitted bodice. At a convention, it pairs with almost any fantasy-adjacent top. The deep colour palette suits dark and jewel-tone tops best.
